Anne Hartman Lynk served Parke County Tourism for thirteen years prior to joining the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra. After returning from northwest Indiana to her family farm in Rockville, Indiana, she was hired as Executive Secretary of Parke County Incorporated, the non-profit group that organizes one of the nation's Top 100 Festivals - the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival. She was instrumental in the passage of the Innkeepers Tax in Parke County and subsequently appointed by the Parke County Commissioners as the Director of the Convention and Visitors Bureau. Prior to her work in tourism, she was associated with Prudential Insurance for ten years, specializing in group health insurance, pension planning and investments.

With her involvement in tourism, Lynk served on the committee for the Lieutenant Governor's Conference on Tourism, was a charter member of the West Central Indiana Tourism Association, was on the executive committee of the Association of Indiana Convention and Visitors Bureaus, Indiana Motor Coach Council Marketing Committee and received her designation as a Certified Travel Industry Specialist from IUPUI.

In Parke County she was a charter member of the Parke County Community Foundation Board of Directors, served on county and district committees of the Indiana Governor’s Welfare to Work Council as well as the Parke-Vermillion Education and Training Interlocal Advisory Board. She is also a charter member of the Kiwanis Club of Parke County.

Previously, while a resident of Griffith, Indiana she held district and state offices of the Women’s Federation of Clubs. She was appointed Bicentennial Chairman for the Town of Griffith and developed a bicycle safety program and bicycle trails for the town. She was also the Lake County Commissioners’ appointment to the Griffith Economic Development Commission.

Historic preservation is of great interest to Lynk and to that end she has been a strong proponent of the preservation of Indiana’s covered bridges and other historic structures. She developed the curriculum for the St. Mary of the Woods Elderhostels on covered bridges and was a presenter for the First National Conference on Covered Bridges at the University of Vermont. During her tenure she spearheaded the purchase and renovation of the 1879 Parke County Jail and Sheriff’s residence as a tourism center for the county. She also serves as a Parke County representative to the Wabash River Heritage Corridor Commission and on the Historic Preservation Committee for the Parke County Planning Commission.

Lynk negotiated the first of two national corporate sponsors of the Covered Bridge Festival - Buick Motor Division and Coca-Cola. She has had articles published in numerous magazines and newspapers as well as co-authoring the book, Bridges to the Past. She has done a number of TV and radio shows including being featured on Home and Garden Television’s "The Good Life" and also a documentary on covered bridges by WSIU.

Public speaking is a favorite activity with the focus on assisting communities in the promotion and development of tourism. She has been a presenter for the Indiana MainStreet Conference and the Illinois Division of Tourism Festival Workshops keynote speaker.

In recognition of her community service she received the Womens' Federation of Clubs Outstanding Woman Award, the Governor's Bicentennial Award, the Jaycees Award for Outstanding Community Service and was a Prudential Insurance McNaughton Award Nominee. Lynk resides on the family farm with her husband, Gary, where they enjoy frequent visits by their children and grandchildren. She enjoys all types of music, Tae Kwon Do, motor home travel and is an avid reader.
