Music Lessons, Music Day Camps, and the Nature Trail Music Camp

Music Lessons

The ISU Community Music Center offers music lessons year-round to students of all ages.  Summer is an especially good time for music lessons since schedules tend to be lighter allowing more time for lessons and practice.  Summer is great time to try a new style on your existing instrument or try a new instrument!  We offer 2 summer sessions: 

Summer I – May (4 lessons)

            30-minutes - $76.80, 45-minute - $115.20, 60-minute - $153.60

Summer II – June/July (8 lessons)

            30-minute - $153.60, 45-minute - $230.40, 60-minute - $307.20

 Summer is flexible, and you can schedule your lessons around your vacations and summer camps.

 

Music Day Camps

We offer 3 different levels of music camps. 

Intermediate Piano Camp (ages 10-14 with 3-5 yrs. of study)  July 7-11

Early Level Piano Camp (ages 7-10 with 1-2 yrs. of study)  July 14-18

General Music Camp (ages 6-8 with no prior piano study) July 21-25

 All camps are 9 a.m. – noon Monday – Friday.  Camp tuition is $100 for the week which includes all materials.  Camps are held on the ISU campus in the Fine Arts Building Clavinova lab, room 316. Camps are led by Dr. Lynette Browne of the ISU music faculty. 

 

Nature Trail Music Camp

This is a music, nature, arts & crafts camp for children ages 4 – 7, June 16-20.  Camp is held from 9 a.m. – noon, Monday – Friday.  Each day is based on a part of nature – Trees, Weather, Bugs, and Water, with Friday being our “Nature Celebration.”  Tuition is $125 which includes all craft supplies.  Camp is led by Dr. Lynette Browne of the ISU music faculty.
