THSO Appoints New Concertmaster Elina Rubio

The Terre Haute Symphony is pleased to announce the appointment of Elina Rubio as Concertmaster beginning with the 2021-2022 season! Born in Elche, Spain in 1996, Elina Rubio Pentcheva, received early instruction on the violin from her mother Tania Pentcheva Boneva. At a very young age she began playing concerts in Spain, Bulgaria and Germany. During this period she worked with the Russian violinist Mikhail Bezverhny and with Roberto Valdes (Professor at the Piaget Institute in Portugal).

Allen Whitehall Clowes Charitable Foundation Awards Terre Haute Symphony Generous Grant

An Indianapolis based arts foundation has granted funding to the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra (THSO) in support of continuing the arts in West Central Indiana.

The Allen Whitehill Clowes Charitable Foundation, Inc.,(AWCCF) is a private foundation with a mission, “to support charitable organizations that promote or preserve the Arts and Humanities and those that were supported by Mr. Clowes during his life or are similar to those supported by Mr. Clowes.”

Season Tickets On Sale for Terre Haute Symphony 96th Season, Disney in Concert Returns

After working in 2020 to continue programming during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra (THSO) is pleased to announce season tickets are on sale for their 96th Season titled Sights, Sounds & Stories! Along with continuing virtual and in-person programming, the THSO will perform their annual holiday concert and welcome back the wildly popular Disney in Concert in April 2022.
