This program highlights a genre-spanning evening featuring Michael Abels’ Delights & Dances, a vibrant bluegrass set led by mandolin virtuoso Solly Burton and collaborators, and Brahms’ Symphony No. 2. Musical insights, featured listening examples, and behind-the-scenes perspectives illuminate the mandolin’s versatility alongside the orchestra’s rich sound world, offering a deeper appreciation of this dynamic and colorful performance.
