Award-Winning Pianist Drew Petersen to join Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra for Brahms and Rachmaninoff on April 30
On April 30, 2022, at 7:30pm, award-winning, charismatic, and immensely talented Drew Petersen will take the stage at Tilson Auditorium for the THSO’s concert, Brahms and Rachmaninoff. Terre Haute favorite, Di Wu, will unfortunately not be able to perform for this concert as originally announced. The THSO has confirmed Drew Petersen, a highly sought-after soloist who has performed throughout the United States and internationally, as guest artist to perform Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concert.

Registration for THSO’s Annual Adventures in Music Concert Now Open
Registration is now open for private schools, non-Vigo County public schools, and homeschools for the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra’s annual educational concert, Adventures in Music! This year’s performance will take place on April 6th at 11am at Tilson Auditorium on Indiana State University’s campus. The 45-minute concert aims to educate 4th grade level students about the instruments of the orchestra and their instrumental families. Students in 4th grade from Vigo County Schools annually attend the 9:30am performance of the program.

Classic Innovations will feature members of the THSO for an afternoon of exceptional and innovating chamber music. Enjoy several of the most passionate, riveting, and moving musical works ever written for small ensembles on March 5 at 4pm at Hatfield Hall on the campus of Rose-Hulman. Audiences will experience firsthand the collaborative spontaneity that makes chamber ensembles thrilling to watch. THSO Receives COVID-19 Matching Grant from Wabash Valley Community Foundation
The Wabash Valley Community Foundation (WVCF) has awarded the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra a generous COVID-19 matching grant of $10,000 to continue supporting the THSO’s mission to provide Great Music! Close to Home in the Wabash Valley. The purpose of the grant was to provide organizations in Clay, Sullivan, and Vigo counties with a tool to assist in fundraising as they seek to recover from the adverse financial effects that the pandemic has had on their organizational budgets.
