On April 30, 2022, at 7:30pm, award-winning, charismatic, and immensely talented Drew Petersen will take the stage at Tilson Auditorium for the THSO’s concert, Brahms and Rachmaninoff. Terre Haute favorite, Di Wu, will unfortunately not be able to perform for this concert as originally announced. The THSO has confirmed Drew Petersen, a highly sought-after soloist who has performed throughout the United States and internationally, as guest artist to perform Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concert.

This year’s performance will take place on April 6th at 11am at Tilson Auditorium on Indiana State University’s campus. The 45-minute concert aims to educate 4th grade level students about the instruments of the orchestra and their instrumental families. Students in 4th grade from Vigo County Schools annually attend the 9:30am performance of the program.

The purpose of the grant was to provide organizations in Clay, Sullivan, and Vigo counties with a tool to assist in fundraising as they seek to recover from the adverse financial effects that the pandemic has had on their organizational budgets.
